Day 8: My Gift, My Time, My Sacrifice

THIS is why I homeschool......

And THIS reason too......

But most of all, I think I just like my kids.

Why would I want them gone all the time?

This is my gift to them: to be their Mom 24/7, to be their teacher, to give my time, to sacrifice my present "freedom," to keep them close.

To train them in the way they should go.

I homeschool my kids. It's my labor of love.

Both of those reasons are really making me think long and hard about homeschooling the kids. Having been through public schools, reading the news stories and listening to what my father (who is a middle school teacher) goes through really kind of scares me. Quite honestly I think the tax payers are getting a bum deal with all the money that we are cramming into the public school black hole.

Great post, Kell. Love the cartoon. I'll have to save that one and print it out on cardstock so it's ready to hand out when people ask me what I do for socialization. hahahahahahah.

That video says a lot.

Makes me remember that we don't need to make our homeschooling just like public schools to be doing it right
